Ireland. Emerald Isle. And the enchanted island of cobolds, elves, and the home of Timothy Sugrue (Brian F. O’Byrne), a romantic, ambitious writer and a modern Norman Bates. Timmy spends his days looking after the chickens and the odd guest in the remote, rain-drenched guest house ¨Innisfree¨. In his spare time, he writes about the monotony of his life. On a regular basis, his mother’s shrill voice rings out from upstairs, either recalling the bloodcurdling episodes in the lives of Irish saints or trying to throw heavy household items at her son’s head, all be it playfully. A world in which everybody would lose his or her mind. When Dr. Drudy, Timmy’s psychiatrist and spiritual adviser, recommends that the young man use his lively imagination to his own advantage, Timmy creates a guardian angel in the form of Marcel Marcellino (Anthony Higgins), a dashing Mexican silver screen hero and a flying ace from the Second World War. Encouraged by Marcel, Timmy joins a writers’ workshop, falls in love with his story editor and writes his crazy mother out of the script.
