Episode 1. ” The One-armed Man”: Franz Borsig has spent ten years in prison. He bagged a million following a robbery in which his arm was paralysed as a result of a gunshot wound. The money was never recovered. His former girlfriend Karin might know something. Lobster takes Borsig back to his flat after the latter has been shot at. Borsig tries to recruit Lobster as an accomplice to look for his money – that is, until he finds out that Lobster is a private eye.

Episode 2. “Two Flies”: Bomb attacks are made on the life of the building contractor Klein. His wife Birgit hires Lobster for her personal protection. Lobster succeeds in saving Frau Klein from another murder attempt, but he is clearly up against a hired assassin. Then Klein turns up and shoots the perpetrator dead. Klein maintains that he acted in self-defence, and the police believe him. Lobster becomes suspicious. Klein shot a man who had already been overpowered by Lobster. Lobster has even more doubts when he and Birgit are sent by Klein to a mountain refuge so that they will be safe from
the killers. An argument follows between Lobster, Klein, and his wife Birgit.

Episode 3. “Die!”: The banker Ernst Brühl is an old friend of Lobster’s. Lobster can’t refuse when Brühl asks him to look after his son Klaus who has been caught up in some shady dealings. While staying at the Brühl home, Lobster gets to know the remarkable members of the Brühl family: the elegant wife of the banker, Hedwig Brühl, the dominant mother Ottilie, the supposedly progressive daughter Ute, and the repressed daughter Tessa. Brühl announces to the surprised family that his bank has been forced to file for bankruptcy. On the following morning, he is found shot dead. The police believe that he committed suicide. But Lobster doesn’t believe that, especially since the
family has a motive for murder due to a very high life insurance policy. Lobster suspects each member of the family in turn and finally uncovers the truth, a truth that leaves him deeply shocked.

Episode 4. “Handcuffs”: The murderer Wortmann wants to settle a score with Lobster. He breaks out of prison and takes the detective’s daughter hostage in order to blackmail Lobster. He is supposed to crack a safe in order to provide the money to finance Wortmann’s escape. Together with his friend, Inspector Korn, Lobster hatches a plan to free his daughter and catch Wortmann.

Episode 5. “Blood”: Susan, 16-years-old, is the daughter of a fashion house owner. She tries to commit suicide by taking sleeping tablets, but Lobster is able to save her in time. However, the blood on Susan’s jumper still has to be explained. Suddenly, Susan disappears. Lobster comes across mysterious coincidences which also explain Susan’s behaviour.

Episode 6. “The Child”: Lobster has been briefed by Dr. Martius to locate a man by the name of Guiseppe Scaffi, who is needed as a witness in a divorce case. Lobster gains the trust of Scaffi’s son Nicky and is able to dupe him into revealing his father’s hideaway. Scaffi is murdered the following morning. Lobster feels that he is partially to blame, and Nicky even believes that Lobster is the murderer. Nicky swears to avenge his father’s death and kill Lobster. Lobster searches feverishly for the murderer, while Nicky single-mindedly plans Lobster’s murder.
